The Rocking Chair

Last week we were blessed with the gift of a beautiful rocking chair. On Thursday Aunt Kathy and I went shopping for a rocking chair for Gavin's room. Our first stop which ended up being our last stop was "Rocker World." Who knew such a place existed, but they only carried rocking chairs and gliders. We spent several hours in the store trying out every chair. I had no idea there were quite so many options: rocking, gliding, locking, fabric, leather, reclining, mission, plush, large, medium, small. But with the help of Aunt Kathy and Kevin we were able to pick out the perfect chair. Thanks to Aunt Kathy and Uncle Paul, Gavin and I look forward to spending many relaxing hours in our new rocking chair.

37 Week Check Up

Well its that time now where I have weekly visits with the doctor. Yesterday was my weekly appointment, unfortunately, there is not much to share. I am still dialated a 1/2 centimeter and Gavin's heart rate is still between 130 and 140 beats per minute. My stomach was measuring between 35 and 36 centimeters, smaller than last week, but that is because Gavin is moving downward, which is the right direction. Besides that not much else new here. Its just a waiting game now.

Basket O' Books

Yesterday at my MOM's bible study the ladies celebrated Gavin's soon to be birth. Each lady brought a book for Gavin to fill a beautiful basket. It was a very thoughtful gift and I know Gavin will love all his books. Thanks so much.

36 Week Ultrasound

These are the pics of our little Gavin at 36 weeks. Now it may be kind of hard to tell in these pics what exactly you are looking at but I will try to tell you. The first pic is of his little hand, the whole time he was opening and closing his hand. The second and third pics are of his little face, its a little hard to see, but its turned sideways and the two darker spots are his eyes. I hope that makes sense and you can see it. Gavin is weighing right around 6 lbs 14 ounces, although that's not an exact weight, but they know he is somewhere between 6 and 7 lbs. Everything else looked good and healthy, measuring between 36 and 37 weeks, right on time still. And I am dialated 1/2 centimeter, so we are on our way. Yah! Just a quick update to let you all know how Gavin is growing.

Kevin's Birthday

This past weekend we celebrated Kevin's birthday. We celebrated the big day by waiting 3 hours for one of Kevin's favorite pizza, at none other than . . .



It was a wonderfully fun evening spent with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Paul eating lots of appetizers(while waiting) and enjoying the cooler weather(finally).

Halloween Weekend

So this weekend, we had a relaxing time hanging out with family. Momma Holt and Nate were in town so we did do some birthday celebrating as well. Kevin's birthday is next weekend, but since everyone was in town we went ahead and celebrated the big 26 at Cheesecake Factory. Here are some pics from the fun.



We had lots of fun shopping for Gavin this weekend, and Momma Holt and Aunt Kathy thought Kevin needed to have a few essential pieces for Gavin's wardrobe.
