The Toy of Choice: Golf Balls

One of Gavin's favorite time of the day is in the late afternoon when we go outside to play. We usually time it right so that Kevin gets home while we are out playing. Gavin loves being outside so much. And as you can see from all of these pictures, his current favorite toy to play with is golf balls. They are like a little treasure. It is very funny.

My busy little bee.

Gavin has been very busy the last couple days, actually I think these were all taken in less than 24 hours, imagine that, he's a busy busy boy.
So as you can see he climbed up into the chair all by himself and was very proud of himself watching Imagination Movers.
Well as usual these pictures are out of order, so this was the morning after he had discovered how much fun it is to play inside his toybox. Its really funny, but he wanted to get in his toybox, so I put him inside and he happily played for a good 20 minutes.

Funny boy.
He also discovered that he could climb on the coffee table. I actually had my feet up on top of the coffee table when he first climbed up. He then got stuck trying to get down, with his head out the end and body wrapped around one of the legs. So I got him out from under the table and guess what . . .
He thought it was fun and climbed right back up . . .
over and over again. So funny.
So here is the first time he got in the toybox, he was leaning over the edge trying to get a toy from the bottom when he fell in.
He then discovered it was way too much fun and wanted to stay inside and play.

"Mom, no more pictures please."
Trying to put the sunglasses on himself.
Hiding from dad.
Just taking a little rest.

Phoenix Science Center

Yesterday Gavin and I had the opportunity to go to the Phoenix Science Center with out MOPS friends. Gavin had a very fun time. His favorite part of the Science Center was the "Forces of Nature". This is Gavin and his friend John Michael enjoying the computers in the technology exhibit.
He also really liked sending messages via Morris Code.
He was quite enthrawled with it. The message he was typing in would then come up on the computer screen. He just loved pushing the button and the noise it would make.

He also learned about the inner ear. What you see Gavin walking on is supposed to simulate the inner ear, he didn't care about that though, he just enjoyed walking.

Some Random Pictures

Here are a few random pictures from the last couple weeks thathave not made it on the blog.

This first picture is very funny. One day a couple weeks ago Graunt Kathy took Gavin to Toys'r'us to pick out his Christmas present. He ended up picking this blowup dog that has pool for playing with the balls and then a tunnel to crawl through. Well ever since we've blown it up, Gavin seems to be quite terrified of it. We brought it upstairs one night to see if that might help, but he was screaming and wouldn't even go near it, he would scoot around it, not turning his back to it. Well then Kevin decided to try getting in it and crawling through it to see if he might warm up to it, but that didn't work either, Gavin was still upset.
Here's Kevin trying to get himself out.
Gavin picked out this computer at Toys'r'us as well. This was a gift from Nana & Gramps. He loves this computer.

In his favorite place to sit, the fridge, eating carrots.
More carrots. He helps himself to food.
One night Kevin's shoes were sitting out and Gavin was trying very hard to get his feet inside of the shoes. It was very cute. So Kevin helped him get his feet inside.
This was Gavin trying to get his foot in himself and then try to walk. He had actually had his foot inside, but he couldn't figure out how to keep his foot inside of the shoe and walk.
