We Love Our Mandy!

So I came across a blog today, Kelly's Korner, where she is trying to help set up her single friends. It is like an online dating service and I love it and of course had the perfect person in mind. My amazingly wonderful, bestest sister, Mandy!! And she gave me the ok. So I am have post here telling how wonderful she really is and then link it to Kelly's Korner for all to read, and if people are interested they leave me comments. Woohoo!! Let's find Mandy a MAN!

And here we go . . .
How can one say all there is to be said about Mandy.
Even on her worst day she is far more than dandy.

In the interest of time lets get down to the truth.
Mandy's smile shines brighter than a flash in a Photo booth.

Her beauty is like a seaside scape.
One too grand for words, your breath it will take.

But what's most important about her is at her core.
One conversation with Mandy will leave you wanting more.

You've heard the song, Girls Just Want to Have Fun.
And I'll attest Mandy is no exception to this one.

To win Mandy's heart there's a few things you might need to know.
First brush up on your movie trivia, best bring your "A" game, that's 'fo shoow.

Next you should love to sit down and relax and not be afraid to let time slowly pass
To Mandy you don't have to live in the fast lane to succeed,
Few things in life give her greater joy than a good read.
To say we are finished would be untrue, but now the rest must be found out by you............

That lovely rhyme was written by my wonderful husband Kevin. I do not have those skills, but i thought it would be the perfect way to talk about Mandy because writing funny, rhyming poems her way of honoring people on their birthday on her blog (check it out, its quite hillarious). I obviously love my sister dearly, she is amazingly beautiful inside and out, loves the Lord with all her heart. She is gracious and thoughful, funny and sarcastic, and an amazing Auntie to my children. She is in her mid 20's and lives in southern California. And I pray that the Lord blesses her with an amazing husband someday.
If you are looking for someone like Mandy or know someone who is let me know.

Sickies

This past week my children have been quite the sickies. They both had nasty colds which then turned into many sleepless nights for the whole house, lots and lots of snot all over, lots of whining, droopy eyes and double ear infections for both children. Needless to say we haven't been up to much but trying to get some rest. Just yesterday Gavin's eyes were beginning to open a bit, and Audra, well Audra still has a smile for you even when she is sick and doesn't sleep. On Saturday Kevin was working in the yard and I let Gavin go outside. He was quite excited to run around and play and help daddy in the yard, and Audra loved watching them work hard outside.

Gavin is a great rock sorter. He likes to find the rocks in the yard.
Between Christmas and his birthday Gavin recieved lots of tools, so he had out his measuring tape helping daddy.
He's a very good helper.

The other day we were moving some things around in the garage, to fit my wonderful new car!!! (more on that later), and I sat Audra on Gavin's atv and she loved it. I was driving her around the garage and she was quite enjoying herself.
Audra and Daddy enjoying her ride. And if you look closely you can see Gavin in the background playing away.
Gavin wanted to help Audra drive.

No hands!

Kevin & Gavin were working on counting to 3. Together they count . . . 1 . . . 2 . . .3.

Then . . .
Kevin & Gavin together: "1 . . 2 . . . . ."
(insert long pause)
Kevin: "what comes next"
Gavin: "BIEBER!!"

What a funny boy.

Go Auburn!

I don't think too much needs to be said for these pictures, except . . . We Love Auburn!

With the BCS Championship in town everywhere we went we saw the orange shirts for Auburn and the yellow/green shirts for Oregon. Gavin joined in on the fun with his Auburn gear as well.
Audra was not so impressed with all the madness.
Like Father like Son.
Gavin refused to get out of the stroller, that is quite unusal, but I won't complain.
Little miss Audra is thinking about crawling these days, but I think that is might just be too much work and she is going to skip right to walking.
The proud Auburn fans.
As Gavin would say, "WooHoo!"

A Relaxing New Years Weekend

We enjoyed a wonderful new years weekend, at home relaxing and cleaning things out. Audra enjoyed some computer time with Daddy. She enjoys what time she gets with him, because Gavin is often demanding his attention.

This is a rare moment for Gavin, but with some of his birthday money he got Toy Story, Toy Story 2 & Toy Story 3, oh and he also got the Justin Bieber cd. We spent most of the weekend with Toy Story on the tv muted and listening to "biebs" as Gavin calls him now. Apparently they are a first name basis now.
Yesterday while Kevin & I were sitting at the table working on something, Audra was sleeping and this is what Gavin decided to do . . .
for some reason he decided to climb into Audra's jumper. He then proceeded to head to the pantry and get some cheerios and put them on the tray of the jumper and then got in to jump and eat snacks (if you couldn't guess this is what Audra spends a lot of time doing, he apparently got jealous of all the fun she has).
And if you couldn't tell from the other picture he's a little big for the jumper, his knees actually hit the ground. He's a funny boy.
