Attempt 2 at the Pumpkin Patch

On Monday we made our 2nd attempt at the pumpkin patch. This time I took the kids with our friends the Arnolds. I did manage to get some better pictures than last time.
This is our friend Broden. He quite enjoyed finding and eating rocks.

Gavin was quite grossed out by Broden trying to eat the rocks and kept trying to stop him. Too funny. This is the "EEEEEWWWWW Mommy" face.
Again the rocks.
Audra took to eating hay instead.

This is Gavin's friend Baylor, but when he says Baylor it sounds a lot like "Bieber"
Audra's favorite face to make these days. She is working hard at trying to get some teeth in, so she has taken to chewing on her bottom lip.
And again.
All 4 of the kiddos together. Oh and by the way, Gavin's word for pumpkin is "pumppies".
And Gavin had to bring the veggietales cd with him, he calls it "choochoo" not too sure why, but he is quite obsessed these days.

So I forgot I had more catching up to do. The first few pictures are from the middle of September and somehow I forgot to put them up. But don't laugh too hard . . .
And yes those are spandex with a HOT PINK stripe and no they were not mine . . .
they were Kevin's!!! Hahaha.
And yes Gavin found them in the closet and wanted to put them on. And then continued to give us his best poses, including muscles & lots of spinning. Too funny.

Snuggle time with Daddy.
Audra looks as if she is saying, "what is he doing to me"

Gavin has been loving our cooler weather (cooler for here, so we are still in the 70's) and has been spending any moment he is allowed outside. One day it had rained so the backyard was a little muddy, since we don't have much of a yard yet. So he would accidently throw the baseball out in the mud and then would put on my shoes to attempt to go get the baseball.
And he is very in to wanting to share his hats with everyone, especially Audra. Gavin wanted Audra to come outside with him, so I told him she could sit at the window and watch him. And they both were happy.
"CCHHEEEESSSEEE!"
He's very into wearing hats these days. This hat was a gift from Nana as part of his Halloween costume.
And lots and lots of baseball and basketball and a combination of the two.

Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we attempted to take the children to a pumpkin patch. And well that's about all we succeeded doing, we were there. I was quite bummed, Gavin was a wreck, he wanted to be held the whole time and didn't want to participate and Audra was tired so she doesn't like to look up from the ground when she is tired. So that about sums up the trip. There was a petting zoo (where Gavin hit a pig), a corn maze, pony rides (which we didn't even attempt), lots of little games and of course a hayride to pick out a pumpkin.
Here Gavin is doing what he did best that day, sulking and pouting and whining.
I thought that food might make him a little happier, but that didn't work much either.
Not too often you see pumpkins in the middle of the desert.
This was about the best picture I got of them all day, Audra looking at the ground and Gavin at least was not pouting.
And this was about as close as Gavin wanted to get to Audra, this from the boy who usually I can't get off of her.
No smiles, but at least she looked up for me.
What a fun hayride. And on the way back he dropped the pacifier off the ride and we lost it. Lovely.
My favorite picture of the day. Well one good picture at least.

It wasn't really what I had in mind for our day, but that's just how it goes sometimes with a toddler and infant, they are unpredictable.

Since our trip we have been quite busy, so here are the pictures to let you in . . .
Grammy & Pops came and stayed with the kiddos while we were in Italy.
Gavin & Pops in their matching shirts from Rome.
Gavin's hair is out of control.
Then Nana came the following weekend to stay with the kiddos while Kevin & I went on a marriage retreat with class from church.
Audra tried sweet potatos for the first time and loves them.
She seems to like all food and to just inhale it.
We went up a night early to the marriage retreat to stay in a cabin with some of our closest friends. The girls: Monique, Coley & I.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner in Prescott.
Then we enjoyed a wonderful weekend spending time growing closer with our spouses.
Gavin LOVES Audra so.
I had run upstairs to grab something and came down to find them like this. Too cute. He loves holding her hand and giving her kisses and hugs.
Then I hosted a babyshower for 3 girls in our class. It was a very fun night.

And that about has us all caught up.
