Nate Comes to Town

This weekend Nate came to visit us. Well he actually came to see the last series of the Diamondbacks season. Yah! So on Saturday night Kevin and I met Aunt Kathy & Uncle Paul and Nate and his two friends from school, Ryan & Dan at the Dbacks game. It was very fun & surprisingly the Dbacks WON! That is always exciting. On Sunday we all went to the Wild West Cowboy Festival. A client of Kevin's had given us tickets. It was quite the experience. It was located at an old film set where they had several shows going on. We got the opportunity to see a wonderful stuntshow, a piano player from the show Deadwood, and the indian world champion hula hooper. It was a day full of excitement thats for sure.

Mandy Comes To Town!

So last weekend Mandy came to town to help me paint Gavin's room. The paint color turned out wonderful, but we did have a few minor complications with the painter's tape. We also sanded and repainted the dresser, which turned out very nice. We had a wonderful fun, dusty, and productive weekend. Thanks Mandy.

Autin, Texas

A couple of weeks ago Kevin and I went to Austin, TX for Mara's wedding. This was my first real experience in Texas, besides last year when we drove through the panhandle of Texas. Now from our drive through Texas I didn't expect a whole lot because it was barren and dry and nothing around, but Austin was very nice and green. We had a lot of fun, visiting old friends and just having a relaxing weekend. Our first day in town we spent the day with a friend of Kevin's from Liberty. He showed us around Austin and took us to Rudy's BBQ. It was quite amazing. Kevin liked it a little too much, he was ready to go back for breakfast. On Sunday we toured around town a bit and then went to Mara's wedding. The wedding was beautiful, it was at Nature's Point a little cottage on Lake Travis. The wedding was very fun, but very hot and humid. I think Kevin and I both sweated through our clothes, but we had a wonderful time. On Monday we decided that since we were so close, we couldn't come to Texas and not go to the Alamo. And so that is just what we did. We drove just over an hour to San Antonio and visited the Alamo and the River Walk. It was a wonderful weekend.

3 Week Checkup!

Today I had a doctors appointment. Nothing too exciting, just a normal checkup, where I wait 40 minutes in the waiting room for a 10 minute appointment. All to say Gavin is growing normally and getting bigger. My stomach is now 29 centimeters and getting bigger, and his heart rate was 133 beats per minute. This was much slower than last 3 weeks ago, but the doctor said that is perfectly normal because is growing and getting bigger. Well that's about all the excitement here.

The one and only super awesome aunt has created this lovely Internet page to keep you all updated on the life of the Holt family. You can look forward to a new belly photo each week, so that you can all watch how fast Gavin Edward is growing. Lindsey is 29 weeks along and Gavin was 2lbs and 3 oz at 26 weeks and boy is he is mover and a shaker. Unfortunately at their last appointment his constant movement prevented the doctor from measuring his length.
