Jake & Company Come to Town!

This past weekend we had a full house, but what fun it was. On Thursday night Jake, Hannah (Jake's girl), Lindsey & Joey (friends from Biola) came to visit for the weekend. We had a fun filled weekend. We enjoyed the sun, lounged at the pool, took a well guided tour of Chase Stadium (given by Kevin himself), went to a pumpkin patch (of sorts, pumpkins on the side of the road is what it turned out to be, gotta love the internet), wandered Cabela's, carved pumpkins, and played cranium. It was a fun weekend and we enjoyed having company. Here are some pics of the fun.

Week of Family & Friends

Sorry it has been so long since I've updated you, but things have been a little crazy, and I spose will only get crazier. So here we go. About a week ago my mom came to town to help us get ready for Gavin's arrival, which is coming up very quickly. We did have a very productive week. The time went by quickly running errands, going to Costco and Ikea, going to the doc, swimming, walking, and we did have a day of fun with Aunt Kathy as well.



One of our big projects was putting together our lovely changing table (thanks to Mom and Dad Holt). After many, many small pieces and lots of instructions we were able to get the changing table all together and set up.



We also worked on fixing the wall Mandy had helped me paint where the amazing painter's tape had so generously pulled the paint off the wall. But thanks to my mom's expertise you would never know. See . . .

On Friday my mom and I flew to LA where Mandy picked us up from the airport and we began a long journey to Sacramento. Because of our lovely timing we hit after work traffic. It took us 2 hours to get to Santa Clarita, way too long. Needless to say we arrived in Sacramento very, very early Saturday morning, but at least I could spend this long journey with two of my favorite people.

Saturday Kevin's mom and our family friend Renee threw me a baby shower. It was a wonderful day and a wonderful shower and lots of catching up with friends and family. Yah!!! Unfortunately I don't currently have any pics from the shower, but I will be posting some soon.

On Sunday I joined Mandy on the road again, back to LA. I was able to spend some time with my sis catching up and having fun. She can alwasy manage to make a road trip fun and filled with lots of laughs.

Monday I got to spend some time with Jake around Biola, and Hannah, his girlfriend. I was also able to meet up with Talia for lunch and catch up. It was a wonderful day to catch up with friends and I am very thankful for the time to be able to do it.





And now I am back home to my hubby. It was a wonderful trip but I did miss him much. While I was gone Kevin picked up our bassinet, well not Kevin and I's actually, Gavin's bassinet. Thanks to Aunt Terri & Uncle Gar and Grandma & Grandad.
