Insta Friday

Another week . . .

Audra is quite the helper these days with the dishwasher.  She usually just helps me unload the dishes, but today she was begging to help.  So I couldn't deny her help.  I washed the dishes and then would hand them to her to load.  I have to say she did quite an impressive job.  She's hired!  Last weekend, since it was Father's Day we just spent the weekend relaxing and just enjoying family time.  On Saturday the kiddos spent a large amount of the day playing in the pool and Kevin sat outside with them.  They were cracking me up when I was out there.  Gavin had put the shovel in Audra's swimsuit because he said it was her wings to fly!  He has quite the imagination these days.

On Sunday we went to lunch with the Axton's after church and then got cupcakes to celebrate the father's at Sprinkles!  I thought it was a pretty good treat.  Kevin did too until Hadley had quite an explosive diaper all over him.  Happy Father's Day Kev!

The kiddos had some better moments of actually all playing together and getting along.  One of those days they spent some time building with the blocks and building trains.

The first picture of Hadley was taken by Gavin.  He is constantly wanting to take my phone and take pictures.  Oh and the bottom left picture was from yesterday.  Audra was wanting to help me make dinner so I asked her to go throw away the empty egg carton.  Instead of throwing it away she just grabbed and towel and covered it up.  Hmm.  We have some work to do, I think.

There's some funny ones this week. We will start with crazy Audra. There's not much more to say really, you can watch for yourself.
Then we come to silly Gavin. Before I got the camera out he was singing a whole song about ranch and ketchup and then moved on to dinner. He's a funny one.
I apologize for part of this video being the wrong direction and very unsteady.  I was driving.  So they seem to love singing and dancing to this song these days.  And can I say that the reason Gavin likes it is because of the youtube video where Justin Bieber is dancing to this song.  As for Audra she likes whatever Gavin likes.
And the last video this week is another one of crazy Audra. She has learned a new word this week, "happy"! She asks us if we are happy all the time and when she is happy she likes to just inform you by repeating happy until you ackowledge her.

InstaFriday

We had a busy weekend with birthday celebrations and visiting with Uncle Nate while he was in town.

Miss Hadley was all smiles last weekend.

On Friday night Audra had her party with all her friends.  And Saturday morning she got her present from Mommy and Daddy.  She got to go with Mommy and Auntie Mandy to get her first pedicure.  She loves to get her nails done and is constantly asking me to paint her and Hadley's toes.  She was quite confused when we first walked in and was very timid.  However when she saw all the nail polish colors she got to choose from she was so excited.  All she could say was "WOW!  WOW! WOW!"  She of course picked out a glitter color!  Such a girl.  Gotta love it.

She then got to sit in the special bear chair and watch Aladdin.  She was not so sure at first when the lady was trying to touch her feet.  She was just yelling "NO!"  But after a few minutes of watching what they were doing to mommy and Auntie Mandy's feet she warmed up and let them start painting her feet. 

She was so good.  I don't think I have ever seen her sit so still for that long, definitely never when I am trying to paint her toes.  She was then oohing and aahing over them and the ladies were laughing.  They then put a flower on her toe and she was very excited.  And then she even sat still long enough to let them paint her fingers.

I think she quite enjoyed herself.  She loved the little water bottle they gave her and the sucker and she was good to go.

We then went over to Graunt Kathy & Gruncle Pauly's house to swim.  And Uncle Nate was there so we got to catch up with him.  The kids loved the water and had a lot of fun.

Miss Audra has been enjoying all her fun birthday presents.  The picture on the bottom left Gavin took of Audra opening her presents from Auntie T.

On Tuesday the kids enjoyed a lovely goey pink bath (also a birthday present).  And Daddy brushed Audra's hair into quite the mullet.

And Gavin tried out his hand at feeding Hadley.  I have to say he did quite well.

And that's about it over here.  Miss Hadley has a nasty cold and another ear infection and is of course awaiting the arrival of another tooth.

Weekly Videos

This weeks videos are from the parent performance Gavin gave at VBX last week. If you look really hard behind the girl in the pink leggings jumping around, you will find Gavin and on the left side of the video you will see his friend Orland. Gavin has been watching these videos a lot lately, singing the songs and doing the motions, much more than he did either in the videos.

Insta Friday

This week was quite a busy week for us, Gavin went to his first VBS at our church and we had lots of Birthday celebrating going on for Miss Audra.  So lets get started.

Audra and Hadley enjoyed a bath together.  Audra enjoyed putting a bowl on Hadley's head, and she didn't even seem to notice it was there.  Then when I got them out of the tub, I noticed Audra trying to put Hadley's diaper on.  That's what the picture on the bottom left is.  It made me laugh.

Audra got her present from Nana, Gramps and Uncle Nate in the mail, a trampoline!  They were quite excited.  We had this knock on the door, so the kids went running of course and were peering out the windows to see what it was, when all of a sudden I hear them screaming, "MMMOOOMMM its a TRAMPOLINE!!!"  They were so excited.  I had pulled the large heavy box inside the house and they immediately started trying to rip the box open.  When that didn't seem to be working they ran and grabbed butter knives and were trying to pry the box open.  They couldn't wait to get that thing opened.  So needless to say by the time Kevin got home and we got it set up they were quite anxious to get on the thing.  They jumped as long as we would let them before it was time for bed.  The top left picture is Audra after her first night of jumping on her new trampoline, lets just say she was all tuckered out!  On Saturday we headed up to Cave Creek to the Thieves Market it was a little sale where we found a few treasures of course and they kids found sno cones!  They were quite content and happy the rest of the time.

Then we came home and they jumped off all their energy from the sno cones!

Miss Hadley is getting used to putting up with whatever the other two pester her with.  Gavin put his helmet on Hadley and Audra was sharing her new baby.  Kevin and I then went to dinner with some friends Saturday night, so Audra helped me get ready.  She is quite the immitator these days, so whatever anyone else does, she has to do to.  So I was putting on makeup, so she had to put on makeup too.  And Hadley enjoyed some time with Daddy.  I love to see her face light up when she sees him.  So cute.

Audra got a very fun present from Grammy and Pops in the mail.  It was a new baby with matching outfits for her and her baby!  She was quite excited!

The many faces of Miss Hadley.  She is such a big girl these days and now can sit in the cart all by herself.  And we've discovered she loves all food and is quite a messy, messy eater.

The kids have been enjoying their little pool!  They have discovered its very fun to run back and forth between the trampoline and the pool.  Gavin has been playing lots with his "guys" (mostly his little super heros and buzz and woody of course) and Audra has her little Ariel.  I love to see their imagination.  Gavin was making them all surf on the flip flops.  It was quite funny.

Every morning this past week Gavin went to VBX at our church.  This was his first time.  He had a lot of fun, once he was there every day.  It took some cohercing him everyday to go, but he was always fine once he saw his friend Orland.  He's not used to having to go somewhere everyday either, so that was a little hard for him, he kept saying he wanted to go home.  But the games were always fun and on Friday they water day, even more fun.  Random side note, yesterday on our way to church Gavin asked, all excited, "mom is today going to be water day!"  I had to explain that that was a special treat for VBX and that today was church.  Funny boy, but at least he had fun.  It was nice for me to get a lot of errands run.  Its amazing how much easier it seems to just have 2 kids to run errands.  On Thursday at VBX the kids did a performance for the parents and then they  had ice cream for everyone.  Audra and Noelia were quite happy to join in on the fun!

On Friday Audra got to wear her birthday clothes she had picked out.  She had been waiting several days to wear her skirt.  She had been carrying it around for days begging to wear it.  The Birthday Gril in ALL HER GLORY!

On Friday night we had a little party to celebrate Miss Audra.  All our friends came over for pizza and ice cream!  Audra of course had a wonderful time.  And of course she loved her presents, especially this Ariel dress from Auntie Mandy.  Thank you everyone for all the wonderful presents and for celebrating and making Audra's birthday so special!

Miss Hadley is quite the scooter these days.  Any day she is just going to take off crawling on us.
