Pictures from the Week

As usual I'm a little behind, actually most of these pictures are from the last weekend. Kevin had a wonderful weekend at Men's Retreat and while he was gone Gavin was having a lot of fun all on his own.
Trying out the leather jacket. Its a little stiff, so he could move a whole lot. It was quite hillarious.
Look at that sneaky smile. That would be because he found a candle in the guest room and pulled off some loose wax and as everything goes, decided to put it in his mouth.

"Mom please, no more pictures!" That's what it looks like he is saying, but actually he is saying, "HI!" he is waving.
Another sneaky face. I thought I had gotten all the wax out of his mouth but little did I know that there was more . . .
and a little more. What a smart boy, trying to distract me with his cute clapping, rather than notice what was in his mouth.
Showing off those bright pearly whites, and waving of course.
A mouth full of bread.
"Oh how I love bread"
Gavin woke up one morning and found a piece of leftover bread in his high chair from the night before. I got him a fresh piece and of course he ate the whole thing.

Waving at the camera.

"Yah! Daddy is home!"

Snuggle time! (by the way, Kevin is pretending to sleep)

Gavin was busy until the wee hours of the night walking behind the high chair.

Gavin had another busy day yesterday and here are a few pictures to show you what he's been up to.
Showing off those cute upper teeth.
He found my makeup bag the other day and it has been many hours of fun for him the last couple of days, especially the mascara.
Kevin was a little worried about it, but I reassured him that its just because he can hold everything and that he doesnt know what it used for.
Chattin' it up.
By the way, his hair is greasy because I had just put sunscreen on him because we were getting ready to head to the pool.

My phone is Gavin's other favorite toy these days, thankfully it is quite the durable phone and I get a new one next month, then he can have it all he wants.
He was playing so nicely in the corner by himself.

I'm sorry about this second video being so dark, but I was finally able to get a video of Gavin standing all by himself. He has been doing this all the time lately, but the minute he sees or hears the camera he will not stand anymore. He will actually curl up his legs or give you limp legs. However I was able to catch him on camera without him knowing last night, and you can see his cute clapping.

Fiber Plus

This morning I got out a granola bar for myself and had set it on the highchair and had forgotten about it. Gavin reached on top of the high chair and found it. He loves granola bars, especially these Fiber Plus bars, they have lots of chocolate on them (I wonder where he gets that from). Anyways it was quite funny watching him try to figure out how to get it out of the package, but eventually he got it out and ate the whole bar.

Pictures from the Week

One of Gavin's new favorite places to play is in his doorway. He loves to open and close the door, until he shuts it all the way and then gets stuck in his room and can't get out because he is blocking the door. The bummer is he also shut his finger in the door once too.
Another fun new place Gavin has discovered is the stairs. He has started climbing. Actually just today he went up four stairs, but now wants to keep going up, it has been quite the trial this morning. I think its time to go get another gate.

I love fishes cause their so delicious . . .
Gone . . .
Gold Fishin'!!
What a messy meal, but oh how Gavin loved it.

Weekend Fun

Gavin and I have had quite the busy weekend while Kevin was away, but we are happy is back now and ending out weekend with some quality time together. Friday night we went to the Diamondbacks game with our friends from church. It was a great evening of fun and fellowship. The dbacks actually won, which is always a plus, following the game was fireworks, and following that was a Mercy Me concert, and Gavin didn't miss one minute of the whole night. He lived it up with all our friends, enjoying their company.
Kevin had bought this hat for Gavin right after he was born, and it just now fit him for the first time, perfect timing for the game.
However it was difficult to get him to keep it on for any length of time.
He thought it was great fun to take it off and chew on it.
Yesterday Gavin and I spent the day with Graunt Kathy & Uncle Nate at the Arizona Fall Frenzy outdoor concert festival. Gavin enjoyed being outside and loved the music, he clapped and bounced along with everyone else.

Gavin also enjoyed Uncle Nate's shoes, immediately following this picture he actually moved in to take a chew on Nate's shoe.

We ended the night with some wonderful ribs. Gav was not so sure about them.

He then was watching up Nate eat the ribs and wanted to try it out for himself.

This picture cracks me up, because somehow Gavin got his cup handle hooked through the loop on his pacifier. So he kept trying to put his pacifier in but couldn't keep it in because it was too heavy with the cup dangling. It was quite hillarious.
Well that was our weekend, now Kevin is home and we are spending some time catching up. Look for more pictures from the rest of the week tomorrow. I'm a little behind. Gavin has had a cranky couple days, since getting his shots.
