The Adventure of Gavin

Despite Gavin being sick this week, he has been quite busy climbing on anything he can, opening any cupboard he can get his hands on and discovering new things.

He first discovered the box had many many uses . . .
drumming . . .

squealing & singing . . .

Lots of drumming and squealing . . .

climbing & sitting & bouncing . . .
and lots of climbing. I think he was trying to figure out how to get on the tv stand. He very carefully pushed the box to the tv stand, but thankfully the box started collapsing, so we took it away.

He can hold the sippy cup all by himself.

He can open up the kitchen cupboards and pull all the tupperware and bowls out of it. At one point he pulled himself up on the cupboard under the sink and then picked up his legs so he was hanging on the door, the door then swung open and he hit the dishwasher. I thought it was quite funny and was laughing, but it scared Gavin when it swung and he was crying.

He helped himself to a soda out of the pantry and tried to drink it.

Unfortunately for him (very fortunate for us), he could not quite figure out how to pop the top.

His new favorite place to play is the fridge. He could be on the other side of the room and the minute he hears the fridge open he scurries himself to the kitchen to get in the fridge.

And if he doesn't get there in time he will scream and cry. Until next time . . .

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Well unfortunately at this pointin Gavin's life it is quite hard to get him to sit still long enough to get a picture and secondly to get him to hold a sign. Its quite a chore. So here is the best we could find.

We wanted to wish POPS a wonderfully HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We wish we were there to celebrate, but oh wait, you'll be here in a week to celebrate with us. YAH! Happy Birthday!

Faster Than A Speeding Bullet

Well I apologize for my lack of posting this week, life has been a little crazy. Gavin has been quite sick with a very bad cold. Yesterday I took him to the doctor and of course there is not much to be done but to wait it out. He has a little fluid in one ear and quite a sore throat accompanied by a gagging cough and many sleepless nights, oh boy.

So these pictures are from last week, I bought these pajamas for Gavin at Walmart on the Clearance Rack for $1. They are so cute we decided to put them up for Halloween. Yah, what a steal of a deal, not too often you get a Halloween costume for $1. So here is our little Superman.

Gavin found a new toy, the cardboard box the his diapers come in. He could sit and pound on the box all day and pull himself up to a standing position and sometimes even push it around. But most recently he found that it is fun to sit inside and be spun around by daddy. Who knew a box could have so many uses.

Getting as close to daddy as possible. The minute Kevin gets home from work Gavin follows Kevin around everywhere he goes and even crys when Kevin leaves the room.

He loves his daddy.
