Audra's First Bath

Before we left to go to California last weekend, Audra had her first bath. And as you can see from the pictures, she did not really enjoy it at all.

Here are some pictures from our weekend celebrating Grandma Mable's life. The pictures are in reverse order, so bear with me.

On Sunday we went to visit Jake at Forest Home where he will be spending his summer. We wandered around camp while Jake and mom showed us around their stomping grounds. Mom enjoyed showing us where she spent many years working the camp as well and where my grandma worked as well. It was a beautiful day in the moutains, looks like a great place to spend a summer.
Gavin was enjoying exploring Indian Village.

It was a wonderful weekend spent with my family. I love you all!

The Doctor

On Friday before we headed out for our drive the kiddos both had doctors appointments.
Audra just had a weight check, to make sure she was gaining enough weight. She is now 9lbs 4 oz. Although I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that she has been quite constipated, but hey she's gaining weight right.
And as for Gavin, he had his 18 month check up. He is now 29lbs 6 oz and measuring 35.5 inches. He is healthy and growing and only had to have one shot, whoohoo. Gavin was quite busy flirting with all the women in the office as well as playing with a ride on toy he found when we walked in, that he hardly noticed we were at the doctor.

Wow so I have been trying to get this posted for several days, but it just hasn't happened. So here finally a few pictures of our first couple days at home.
Audra just hanging out.
Gavin found our old camera bag and has been carrying it around with him lately.
There's the bag, he fills it with cell phones, pacifiers, a timer, his sunglasses, all of his treasures.
Our son has a murse! It's very funny, but he loves it.
Gavin is very much in love with his little sister.
He takes good care of her. He loves to give her kisses and bonks, to put her pacifier in for her and take it out. It is very cute to watch him interact with her.

Grandma Mable

Today is quite a bittersweet day. Very early this morning my Grandma left this earth and went to be with our Lord and Savior. I know that she is in a much happier place and in a fully functioning body worshipping our Lord, but we will miss her greatly. While remembering my Grandma this morning I ran across these pictures from last summer. Enjoy.

Just a quick couple pictures of my babies. Audra has started to open her eyes a little more, so here is a picture of her beautiful eyes.
Big brother Gavin, the fireman.
On our way to Audra's first doctors appointment.
Everything went well at the doctor. She weighed in at 8 lbs 9oz and measured 21 3/4 inches, can you believe it, she has already grown. We are truly blessed with two beautiful, healthy babies.

Audra Rose

As most of you saw Audra made her big arrival on Tuesday. I was on the list to be induced and got the call from the hospital just before 4 AM. We headed to the hospital where things quickly moved along. At 8 AM the doctor came and checked me and broke my water. At that time I was measuring between 3 & 4 centimeters. Between 10:30 and 11 I had progressed to 5 & 6 centimeters, at that time they said they wouldn't check again until my doctor came by on her lunch. Well come 12:30 my doctor came took one look and could see little Audra's head crowning. Within 10 minutes Audra had made her arrival. The hospital was a little crazy around that time, they had 7 babies born in an hour. We are so thankful for our little Audra she is such a blessing.
As you can see from most of the pictures her head was quite bruised from the quick arrival.

Our big girl, weighing in at 8 lbs 15.4 ozs and 21 1/2 inches long.
We were blessed to have my mom here with us for Audra's arrival, amongst all the other craziness she had going on.
We were also blessed to have momma Holt here with us as well. Nana brought Gavin in right after Audra's birth. He was not so sure what to think. In this picture he is washing his hands so that he can come see Audra.
Gavin's first view of Audra.
Aurdra & I with her grandmas.

Uncle Nate holding his niece for the first time.
Clean at last. Because there were so many births on Tuesday, it took a while for Audra to finally get her bath.
Gavin was much more interested in playing with the remote to the tv than her new sister, but what else is new.

Yesterday late afternoon we were finally able to head home with our new bundle of joy.

We are so thankful for a healthy and safe delivery of our precious baby girl.
