The Park

The rest of trip in Southern California was mostly spent being sick. Gavin & I both took our turn with the flu bug that Audra had on the way out. We did however have a wonderful lunch with Auntie Hannah & Uncle Jake & Uncle Cam & Grammy at Panera Bread of course, one of my favorites, and then we enjoyed an afternoon at the park. Gavin is always up for the park, some baseball and a few slides.

The Engagement

Since I have having computer troubles today, this post will just be of the engagement night. On Wednesday morning the kiddos and I drove to Southern California. With only a few minor setbacks (a few stops to clean up Audra's mess from throwing up all over herself) we arrived in time to have a late lunch with Uncle Jake & Uncle Cam. Which also meant I had time to wash miss Audra's carseat at Jake's house. We then headed to Laguna Beach where the engagement would take place. As we got in the car to head out the rain starting coming and coming and pooring and pooring. We arrived at the beach where the boys got themselves all set up. The kiddos and I awaited Auntie Mandy's arrival to help walk down the many stairs to the beach front. Hannah was at youth group the entire time where her small group was participating in a scavenger hunt that would lead her to the beach. She was of course blindfolded and arrived on the beach and took off the blind fold to see Jake down on one knee. She was so shocked she just kept screaming and jumping, I think she was quite suprised. It was all a very fun moment and so special that we all got to be there to witness the entire thing. After all the excitement we headed back to the church where it was time to CELEBRATE! Can you tell they were excited?! Gavin loved all the balloons and streamers.
And was loving being the life of the party.
Audra was also enjoying all the attention.
The Floch/Holt Fam (minus Kevin, he had to work)

They had good practice at cutting the cake.
And don't you just love that pink "Bride" sash, the lovely Mandy found that. What an awesome girl you are Mandy.

Showing off the beautiful ring.
Thank you Jake for letting us be a part of this moment, it was very fun, very wet, but very fun. And we look forward to the big day!

Birthday Wishes!

Today is quite the special day full of lots and lots of birthdays. We want to wish Uncle Nate a very Happy Birthday!! As well as wish Grandad Holt, cousin Stephanie and our friends Adam & Monique a wonderfully Happy Birthday!! And these two goofballs wanted to wish everyone a special day. We love you all.

An Evening of Baseball

Last night we went to our first spring training game of the season. We went to the Diamondbacks new field; it was quite nice. However the lawn seats are on quite the sloping hill. Great for being able to see the action, but not good for crawling and climbing children. Audra just about rolled down the hill many times and we dropped countless toys that rolled and rolled. Gavin was cracking everyone up around us, because he stood like this picture shows, with his hand in the air the enitre time. He said he wanted to "catch it" and "its my turn".

We only lasted a couple innings before the children were falling apart, the problem with a night game so we then stopped for ice cream on the way home. While at ice cream Kevin and I had finished eating, so we were just waiting for Gavin to finish. So I asked him to take one more bite to get him moving along and his response, "mom, I'm cleaning". What 2 year old, says no mom I'm cleaning, only Kevin's son. He was busy cleaning his mess of melting ice cream instead of just eating it. Too funny.
