A Weekend with Pops & Grammy

This past weekend we had some very fun visitors, Pops & Grammy. We had a fun weekend while Kevin was gone working. We cheered on the Zags, went to the tallest fountain in the world, wandered Cave Creek, ate a wonderful lunch by the pond at El Encanto, watched basketball, relaxed, and hiked around Boyce Thompson Arboretum looking at all the beautiful flowers and cacti.

Gavin's First Basketball Game

Last night Kevin & Gavin & I went to the Suns game. It was very fun. Gavin was quite fascinated with all the bright lights, and I think he may have even liked watching the flat screen tv in the suite rather than the actual game. During the day yesterday I was telling Gavin that he was going to get to his first basketball game, that he was going to see it in person, not just watch it on tv and he was so excited that he squealed with laughter. It was so adorable, I was wishing I had had the video on him. Unfortunately at the game, my camera batteries died the minute I pulled it out, but I did get a couple pictures on my phone. Enoy, Gavin did.

Our March Madness Weekend in Sacramento

This weekend the family hopped on a plane and headed to Sacramento. We had a wonderful weekend visiting with family and friends, watching lots of basketball, passing Gavin around, taking family pictures, and eating lots and lots of food. It was very fun to catch up with everyone. Here are some of my favorite pics from the weekend, and following that are all the pics from the weekend. Enjoy.

Now of course when I get the camera out, he's never quite as talkative, but hopefully this can give you an idea. He also this past week has just noticed all the hanging toys and has been enjoying playing with them and pulling on them.

Gavin's First Road Trip!

This weekend Kevin, Gavin and I loaded up the car and headed to LA to visit friends and family on our last free weekend before baseball season is underway. Friday morning Gavin took a nap in Kevin and I's bed and then chatted away with me while I packed everything up for our trip. Gavin has been feeling a little sick with a runny nose and lots of sneezing, but he is feeling much better now. Even though he was suffering from a cold he still had lots of smiles.



We had a wonderful trip visiting with Aunt Mandy & Uncle Jake, playing video games and eating pizza at Round Table . . .



Gavin experienced his first movie (he sat quietly through the entire movie) . . .


And then Gavin slept . . .

We had breakfast with Aunt Mandy . . .

And helped her get ready for a wedding . . .

Met Uncle Nate & his friend Ryan at a TMC baseball game and visited with friends and finally got to meet Uncle Reid . . .


We then went to a very loud dinner at Yard House which Gavin slept through the entire thing, Kevin ate the biggest pot pie I have ever seen . . .


And Gavin snuggled with Uncle Reid.


We also visited the McElroy's and Gavin got to meet Kelsey. It was a fun filled weekend, and now we are home safe and sound.

This weekend Gavin experienced his first baseball game. We met some friends for a little fun and baseball at a spring training baseball game in Surprise and watched the Royals vs the Padres.
