Insta Friday

Here is our week in pictures.  We all had nasty colds, so we spent the first part of the week at home.

We made some yummy blueberry muffins.  While I was turned my back to Audra to put things away, this is how I returned to find my daughter.  Silly girl had climbed up on the counter and was helping herself to licking the bowl.
And she then continued to carry the bowl around with her, making sure that there was nothing left.
Hadley enjoyed playing on her mat.  Audra is our little piggy, she is always a scraggly mess.  And Gavin loves to play with daddy when he gets home.
Over the weekend we went to the park with daddy.
The kiddos have been loving Gavin's scooter.  It's very funny to see them both on it.  Audra was loving wearing her U of W cheer leading outfit.  So much so she did not want to take it off when it was time to go to bed.  Kevin fought with her at bedtime to get the shirt off and even more with the skirt so he told her he would put it back on over her jammies.  Even more hilarious she didn't want to take the buns off, so those are on under the jammies.  One more note . . . she is wearing hand-me-down jammies of Gavin's that have tractors on them, love the contrast with the skirt.
On Tuesday Grammy arrived.  And she treated us to frozen yogurt.  Oh how the kiddos love ice cream!!!
The rest of our week we have been enjoying Grammy's company.

Hadley at One Month

So I finally got around to taking Miss Hadley's one month pictures!  I know it took me long enough, the poor girl is a month and a half now.  But what a cute, smiley girl she is!  Even when she is sick with a nasty cough she still has plenty of smiles.

Hadley weighed in at 11.2 lbs (97th percentile) and 22 1/2 inches (92nd percentile).

Gavin wanted to join in on the fun.
Audra was not happy about having to join.
At one month Audra weighed in at 10.2lbs & was 23 1/2 inches tall.
And Gavin weighed 9.8lbs & was 23 inches tall.
So Hadley still has them both beat in weight but is shorter than both of them.
Here are Hadley & Audra both at one month.

3 Years Old & 18 Months

A couple weeks ago Gavin had his 3 year well baby check appointment and Audra had her 18 month well baby check.  They were both sick with colds and apparently given it to Hadley.  Hadley had a goopy eye but other than that she is such a good baby I would have had no idea she had an ear infection.  Thankfully we caught it right away and got her on antibiotics.  They all seem to be much better now.

So at 3 years old, Gavin was 39 1/2 " and weighed in at 38lbs.

Audra was 36 1/2 " (the 99th percentile) and weighed in at 28 lbs (the 90th percentile).  I'm not sure Gavin got to the doctor for an 18th month appointment, if he did I lost the paper and didn't blog about it, I know shame on me.  But at his 2 year appointment he was 37" and 31 lbs.  Audra is not far behind that now.  Here they both are at 18 months.

Insta Friday

Well we had quite a week.  Last weekend Nana and Gramps were still here through Saturday.  And on Friday night Pops came into town for the weekend too!  It has been very fun having so much family around.  We have Grammy coming next week and then we will be sad to not have anyone coming to town for awhile.  So here is what we spent our week doing . . .
We made marshmallow popcorn that I saw on Pinterest, two of Gavin's favorite things: popcorn & "smashmallows".  Gavin has been enjoying laying on Hadley's new playmat with her.  And Audra got a new Belle baby that came with a carseat.  I was leaving the house and had Hadley in the carseat on my arm, so Audra then went and got her baby and her carseat, like mommy, like daughter.  It was pretty cute.
It was another beautiful week, so the kiddos spent lots of time playing outside in the afternoons.  Which also means that they spend a lot of time in the bath as well, cleaning off all the dirt.  On Friday night we met Graunt Kathy & Gruncle Pauly for dinner at one of our new favorite places, Chino Bandido!  The kids were loving having Gruncle Pauly sit at the end of the table with them to play with.
Gavin enjoyed listening to music with Gramps, snuggling with Hadley, & working on the car with Pops.  He is getting lots of good lessons on how to fix the car these days.
Gavin enjoyed breakfast on our new kitchen table.  Audra showed off her new dress that she picked out.  She only has a few words, but one of them she seems to use a lot lately is "mmmmmiiinnneee!"  She pulled this dress out of the closet and then tried to put on jeans underneath, when I tried to take the jeans away she  began yelling, "mmmmmmmmmmine, mmmmmmmmine, mmmmmine!"  How did I get two children so opinionated about their clothes!  I also made the mistake this week of asking Audra to grab a pair of pajamas for herself.  Her pjs are on the bottom shelf in her closet, and she has managed to grab them before, but today her and Gavin could not handle it apparently.  This is what I found when I later went upstairs to put her to bed, everything off of the bottom 3 shelves in her closet was strewn across the floor.  This was quite shocking, but it was even more shocking to walk into the closet and see the shelves completely cleared off.  Lovely.  And Hadley has been enjoying her bath times as well.
Sunday the guys spent the afternoon at Barrett-Jackson (a large carshow here in Phoenix).  Gavin loved all the cars, but was a little upset that he wasn't allowed to get in the cars.
Audra enjoying another bath.  And Gavin helped me bake some cookies.  And I let him lick the beater, which he of course loved.  Oh and here's a funny story.  So I was letting him turn on the mixer when I was ready.  Well I had the beater up in the air while I took the bowl out so we could put the batter on the pan, and then he turned on the mixer.  Needless to say it sprayed batter across the room.  We were both laughing and he was apologizing for turning it on.  I was then working on cleaning up the mess and there was some batter on the counter in front of him, so I told him he could eat it.  He looked at me like I was crazy.  I then showed him, that it was ok to use his finger to wipe the batter and eat it, he again looked at me like I was crazy and proceeded to use his spoon to scoop it up and put it back in the bowl.  I couldn't help but laugh, because here I was telling the boy to eat the sweets and use his fingers and he was too clean and proper to do so.  Funny boy.
The kiddos then enjoyed eating their cookies!
So in the bottom picture on the right Gavin said, "Audra, you're my BEST friend!"  It was very cute.  Later he was outside and Audra was inside and they were both standing at the back slider door and they were chatting back and forth and he was using "best friend" as her name.  "Hey BEST friend!"  I hope that never ends.
Gavin found his pirate patch and was pretending to sword fight and Audra got a cold and was quite grumpy.
Love this picture!
Today we all woke up with colds.  The kids were fighting over who got to sit on mommy's lap or who got to sit next to mommy, but at least for a little while they enjoyed snuggling with each other.  Gavin helped me feed Hadley so that I could tend to Audra.  And Miss Hadley is full of smiles these days!
I caught the kids red-handed!  Have you seen a more guilty looking face?  They also enjoyed going through everything and making messes this week.

And that's about it for this week.  We ended the week with colds, all of us.  So hopefully we can get some rest this weekend before Grammy comes to visit us next week.

An Afternoon at Barret Jackson

Yesterday, Gavin got to got to the Barrett Jackson Car Show with Daddy & Pops.  They had a lot of fun.  Although Gavin thought he should be able to take a look around the inside of every car.  Here are a couple pictures of their fun day.

You are my Sunshine.

The weather has been beautiful lately and so the kids have been loving being outside in the warm sunshine.
So Audra decided it was the perfect weather for lunch outside.  She carried the rocking chair out all by herself.  I was inside getting Gavin his mac and cheese and looked outside and saw Audra sitting like this eating her lunch.  She was quite proud of herself.
After a while this is what I found her doing.  If you can see she is lifting up her shirt and pouring dirt down her front.  Silly girl.
And then she got caught.
Gavin and Audra playing in the dirt.

Insta Friday

It's Friday, so its time to see all those moments I've captured on my phone this week.  And I think I've missed some pictures with the holiday's so the first couple are from before Christmas.

This is what we've been up to . . .
Dinner at Smashburger!  The kiddos were going crazy, so that always makes for a lovely dinner.
Just hangin out.
Such a sweet little girl that Miss Audra is, picking her nose and all.
Miss Hadley, she's our little miss smiley.  She has been smiley from day 1, and I love it.
Miss Audra came up with a new invention.  A contraption to hold your apple for you while you eat.  I guess you don't get messy fingers that way.  Smart girl she is, and who knew the barrel of monkey's had more than one use.
On Monday Kevin came home early, so we went for a little walk around the block.  It may have taken us an hour just to walk around the block, but the kids thought it was great.  And have been asking to do it again ever since.
They had a little race, which was quite hilarious.  And I have to say, slow and steady wins the race.  Miss Audra who was very slow won the race because she just kept going to the whole time.  Gavin would go really fast and then just let go of his scooter.
All while Miss Hadley quietly enjoyed the ride in the stroller.  She gets bigger everyday!  Lots of sleeping and eating for our big girl.
This weekend Kevin and I were trying to work on some projects outside, so I let the kids paint their own projects.  And you can see in the bottom picture on the left, Audra gave herself a painted mohawk.  Such a silly, messy girl.
The weather has been amazing nice this week as well, so the kids have spent a lot of time outside enjoying the sunshine and the dirt.  Audra decided that the rocking chair needed to be taken outside to eat lunch.
Gavin and Audra were filthy after being outside playing in the dirt, so I had asked them to go wash their hands.  Well when I heard screaming I went back to check on them and this is what I found.  About a 1/2 inch of water on the ground, a sink overflowing with water and both of the kiddos soaking wet.  I guess they decided to give each other a bath.
The kiddos were playing dress up with the bubble wrap.  Audra's was a kimono and Gavin's was a super hero belt or rockets, it changed many times, oh and excuse me, not a belt, its a "seat belt" as Gavin would say.
Audra loves her daddy, and loves to play with the guys every night and wrestle and play football.  She doesnt want to be left out.  Kevin didnt want to be left out of the bubble wrap fun.  And today the kids had a playdate at the park with some friends.  Gavin is always very protective of Audra and Hadley.  Anytime anyone comes near them he runs over and yells, "No my Audra! or my Hadley."  Well today we wereat the park and he was playing with his friend London and a group of boys were playing right near them.  I couldnt hear what else was being said, but then I hear Gavin telling the boys to "stay back, that's my friend!"  It made me laugh.

Well I guess that's all for this week.  I hope you all had an enjoyable week as well.
