Memorial Weekend

Well I unfortunately did not take many pictures from our weekend. It was a very busy weekend, I feel like we were just going from one thing to the next all weekend, but it was a wonderful weekend. And the best part was having Kevin home all weekend. To start the weekend off we had some visitors arrive, Reid and Lindsey. Some of the activities included a diamondbacks game (thats a given), lunch at Habaneros (also a given), a couple of bbq's, a stroll at the Fairmont, Kevin and I helped some friends pack a moving truck, and the guys did some golfing. And also the most exciting event of the whole weekend is Gavin sat by himself! Yah! And below I have a little video for you all to enjoy as well as a few pictures (a few of the pictures are from Thursday night).
Gavin ready for a day in the sun.
This was Thursday night before he was quite able to do it by himself.
Also Thursday night, with the new toy that he picked out at Walmart. We were doing some shopping and he pulled this off the shelf. And starting to get into everything.

And lastly the one you've all been waiting for, Gavin sitting on his own.
And the last picture is of our visitors Reid and Lindsey, who Gavin just loved having around. He squealed with excitement all weekend, enjoying the attention.

What Gavin has been up to this week.

We have been working on trying peaches. They are better than rice cereal, but he's still not too sure about them.
He gets tired of them quickly and rubs the peaches all over his face.

Gavin has also discovered that he loves reading the paper.
Or should I say crinkling the paper and tearing it to pieces.
And if you move it away from him, he will find it and shove it in his mouth.
He's also been working on sitting up.
And Gavin got to experience his first thunder storm. Kevin and Gavin are watching the lightning out the window.

Birthday Wishes!

I wanted to apologize for being a couple of days late, but we were having quite a difficult time taking any decent pictures. Gavin is now at the stage where he wants to put everything in his mouth, and so the sign immediately goes to his mouth. Anyways Happy Belated Birthday to Great Aunt Jewel and to cousin Lisa! We hope you had a wonderful day and wish we could have been there to celebrate.

Gavin is now standing very well, and enjoying his jumper very much. So much he just screams and screams.

The Haibergers

A couple weeks ago we went to dinner with some friends from church. We are very sad because this next weekend they are moving to Kansas and we are really going to miss them. But here are just a few fun pictures of Troy and Gavin.

All tuckered out.

The other day Gavin and I were doing some shopping and he fell asleep. He is now too big for is other carseat and has a new convertible car seat which means we cannot take it in places with us. But what a cutie!! Everyone was stopping and staring our whole shopping trip.

My first Mother's Day

I had a wonderful, first Mother's Day. My husband surprised me with breakfast in bed and by taking the day off work, YAH!! We had a very fun relaxing day. Here are a few pictures from my Mother's Day.They wore their matching shirts for me, how adorable!
Gavin was more interested in the tree behind me than the camera, but that's normal.
Again the tree. Who knew a tree could be so exciting.
Gavin's first time sitting in a high chair. What a big boy.

And lastly we ended the day with Gavin rolling all over the floor. We're in trouble now.

Pictures from the Week

Just a few pictures of Gavin eating his rice cereal. It has been a very slow process.

Gavin has decided that the pacifier is better to suck on backwards. What a goofy boy.

On Thursday night we went to dinner with our friends the Haibergers. We had a wonderful time and the boys enjoyed each other too. Gavin enjoyed holding little Troy's hand, (Troy is only 3 weeks younger than Gavin, surprise and much much smaller).
