Merry Christmas! A little late I know, but we had a very busy Christmas. The entire Floch family came to visit us for a long weekend. We had a lot of fun celebrating the birth of our Savior. Here are a few pictures to get you started on our wonderful Christmas.
Audra loved getting lots of snuggles from everyone!
One night we all made graham cracker houses! It was a lot of fun to see the very different designs! And my children especially enjoyed eating all the candy! Kevin & Gain designed a 2 story adobe style home, with a retractable roof to release the space ships that are hidden inside (did you get all that).
Auntie Mandy designed Gavin's favorite home, he asked if he could keep it when she was finished. And Jake and Hannah's had lots of intricate details. I did also miss getting a picture of Pops home, he designed a very nice house as well. For more on the gingerbread houses check out Mandy's blog.
On Christmas Eve we went to the family candlelight service at church and on the way home we stopped for our last peppermint mochas of the season. The kiddos each got waters and were quite excited to have their own cups. We then went home and had the Holt traditional Christmas tree pizza and opened our Christmas presents. It was a very fun evening and filled with lots of laughter and wonderful family time.
One night we all ventured out to try Chino Bandito (a Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives find) for a lovely Mexican/Chinese meal. It was really good, we will definitely be back.
Audra had a very "Princess" Christmas! She got lots of jewelry and dressup shoes, a crown, disney princess slippers and pjs and dolls and she LOVED it all! Hadley enjoyed lots of snuggles from everyone and was a very good sleepy head.
On Christmas day our friends the Wallis' joined us for a lovely roast dinner, a white elephant gift exchange and a men vs women game of Cranium. Hadley & Ivy got to meet for the first time. They don't know it but they will be best friends. And even though Hadley was born just a week later is quite a bit larger than Ivy.
For Christmas my dad helped Kevin make this awesome basketball hoop for Gavin. It is made of old ammo boxes and I absolutely love how it turned out! Be sure to check Junk in the Trunk later this week for a quick tutorial!
It was a very wonderful Christmas spent with my family. I am so very thankful that everyone was able to come. And thank you to everyone for all the wonderful gifts and cards!
