Yesterday we had a playdate with some friends at the Anthem Park Splashpad. The kiddos had so much fun playing in the water, while I sweated away in this humidity.

Gavin's favorite animal to play on was the whale, its a slide, and throwing rocks of course.

And Audra of course slept most of the time, this picture kinda makes her look like she has a lazy eye, but she has had a little bit of a goopy eye the last couple days.

The Pool

Yesterday I took the kiddos over to Graunt Kathy's house for a little pool time. Gavin enjoyed himself much more this time than on Sunday. He found lots of fun bowls, and cups, and measuring cups and measuring spoons to play with and entertain him for hours. We had a wonderful afternoon relaxing by the pool and enjoying a wonderful lunch. Thank you Kathy for all the fun.

I had intended on Audra experiencing her first pool time, but she had other plans and slept the entire time.

On Sunday we went to a friends house (who are out of town and kindly let us use their pool while they are gone) to cool off in their pool. This was one of our first times in the pool this summer and in the pool since last summer. Needless to say Gavin is so not sure of the water these days. We got a lifevest a while ago, but he is not too fond of it. As the afternoon went on he warmed up to it a little bit. We had a wonderful afternoon relaxing and staying cool and Audra spent it sleeping.

So when Audra was first born I thought I was holding a little Gavin in my arms, she looked just like him. Then as the weeks passed I felt like she looked so much different than Gavin. And now I was looking at these pictures and she looks just like Gavin again. They change so much at this age.

Bath Time

The other night while we were eating dinner, Audra was sitting in her carseat on the island when she woke up shooting spitup everywhere. It was quite a mess and managed to get not only all over her including legs and all inside the carseat but on everything sitting on the counter around the carseat. So needless to say she desperately needed a bath. Most times I give her a bath after Gavin has gone to bed, so this was the first time he was around for Audra's bath time. Gavin thought it was quite exciting and wanted to be a part of all the action and help.

The Surprise Party!

This past weekend we were the hosts of a surprise birthday for our friend Seth. It was a dress as your favorite "musical era" theme. We all had a fun time, enjoyed lots of food, sand some karaoke and the best part of all was that Seth (the birthday boy) was quite suprised. Here are a few pictures from the fun.
