The Funny Words of Gavin

I always forget to write down all the funny things Gavin says, but tonight when I was putting him to bed he made me laugh, so I'm putting it in writing right now.  We were praying before bed and Gavin started with his standard prayer of, "dear Jesus, thank you for this day, thank you for helping, thank you Daddy sleep, thank you Grammy sleep, thank you Mommy sleep, thank you Audra sleep, thank you Pops sleeps, thank you Hadley sleep, thank you Auntie . . ." he pauses and looks at me and says "mommy, does Auntie Mandy sleep?"  I think I laughed out loud.  "Yes of course Auntie Mandy sleeps!"  "Oh ok, thank you Auntie Mandy sleep.  AMEN!"  Too funny.

Insta Friday

Well this week Audra and Hadley have spent the week quite under the weather with a nasty cold.  I think today was the first day Audra seemed much more herself, and was finally eating a little bit more.  So nothing too exciting went on this week, just the normal craziness of our lives.

Audra and her amazingly crazy hair!!!  What do you think?  These pictures really don't even do it justice.

The sickies on the couch snuggling and Hadley spent most of the week sleeping.

The kiddos being their goofy selves.  Audra found this headband and put it on herself.  And Hadley enjoyed some computer time with Grammy before heading to bed.

Love these two!  Do you think they look alike?  I would have to say so after looking at these pictures.  And I love this little outfit Hadley is wearing, it was Mandy and I's when we were wee little ones.

And another amazing hair day for Miss Audra.  She had actually just taken a bath just a short time before this, but then she in her pathetic state was rolling around on her head.  And then this is what you get!  CRAZY HAIR!

The sickies, doesn't Audra just look so pitiful!  She was for sure quite pitiful!  Today was Audra's big outing of the week, we made it to the park.  She finally was feeling more chipper today and finally eating some food.  Look at this skinny minny!  They had a wonderful afternoon at the park while Hadley enjoyed some sleep in the warm sun.

And that was our week.  As I said before nothing too exciting, but so very thankful that we are all feeling much better!

California here we come!

So here are some pictures from our trip to Cali.  On Monday night after arriving we met Uncle Jake and Auntie Hannah for dinner with my crazy children.  Then on Tuesday we woke up and headed over to pick up Uncle Cam.  We grabbed some lunch from Chickfila and headed to a park for a picnic.  

And then went on a ride on the train!

And watched the ducks in the pond.

And looked at the horses!  That made Audra's day, she didn't want to leave.

We then got some yogurt and headed to Auntie Hannah and Uncle Jake's for dinner.  Audra helped Auntie Hannah make some meatballs.

And then we finished the evening watching the Muppets!

Thank you Uncle Jake and Auntie Hannah for letting us crash your apartment!  We had a lot of fun!

A Day at the Beach.

On Wednesday we picked up Uncle Cam after coffee with Auntie Hannah and headed to the beach.  Gavin had been to the beach one time quite a long time ago and this would be Audra's & Hadley's first time.  They all quite enjoyed themselves.  Audra was quite content to sit in the same place most of the day and not move and just play in the sand.  Gavin loved playing with his new shovel and jumping over the waves in the water with Uncle Cam.  If only we lived closer I think we would spend a lot more time at the beach, because they both had so much fun.
