Introducing Mr & Mrs Reid Price!
This past weekend Kevin, Gavin and I packed up the car and headed to Southern California for the wedding of one of our bestest friends Reid Price. We stayed in a house on Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach with all the guys and their wives in the wedding party. We had a very fun weekend and Gavin made many new friends.
Our table at rehearsal dinner at a wonderful italian restuarant right on the water. The night was filled with wonderful food and fellowship, a slide show of the wedding couple and an open mic.
It was a long night. Gavin was such a good boy and finally fell asleep, like this, on Kevin's lap at the nights end.
The next morning Gavin was sitting in the sick helping me get ready for the day. We brushed our teeth . . .
Gavin made faces at himself in the mirror . . .
And eventually discovered that if you pull the knobs . . . water comes out. (Note: the adorable pajamas are new from Graunt Kathy, thanks so much!)
We also enjoyed the beautiful weather each morning with breakfast on the deck.
He really was enjoying it, he was just getting a little sleepy. I think someone was up a little too late.
The wedding was beautiful as were the bride and groom as well.
During the wedding Gavin spent some quality time with Auntie Mandy, but rejoined us in time for the party.
The beautiful couples first dance.
As you can seen Gavin was a little too distracted by all the plates and silverware and glass in front of him to pay any attention to the camera taking the picture.
And again.
A few of the many guys of the wedding party.
Mother/Son Dance.
Awaiting the departure of the happy couple, Gavin was mesmerized by all of the bright lights of the sparklers.
The beautiful Ashley & Devon.
The Hunts and of course Gavin not wanted to take any more pictures. I think what cracks me up most, is that it seems quite deliberate to not look in the direction of the camera, he manages to look away, or maybe its just that he likes his profile best.
Gavin enjoying his last morning in the beach house, watching some of his favorite shows while Kevin and I cleaned up and packed the car.
Eating and chatting and standing, what he spends most of his time doing these days.
And how could I forget waving.
And eating more.
My baby and me.
And again. I think he was busy eating again and I was disturbing him.
After returning all the tuxes we headed to Ruby's for a birthday lunch with Uncle Jake.
My boys. And again, Gavin avoiding eye contact with the camera. It seems to be a reaccuring theme.
Too cool for school.
Auntie Mandy and Auntie Hannah also joined us to celebrate the BIG 2-1 with Jake!!!

Uncle Jake kindly shared the tape from his present. How sweet.
Again hiding from the camera. What you didn't know is that they turned around probably 3 times trying to get Gavin to look at the camera . . .
And finally it was successful. Now if we could just get a smile.
So we were setting the self timer so that we could all be in the picture. Well the camera was set up on top of the car, and right as the picture was being taken a big gust of wind blew up almost blowing the camera off, so Kevin sprinted over the catch it, when instead he was caught red-handed. The funniest part of the whole thing is that this is the only picture of these where Gavin was looking at the camera, of course.
