Happy Birthday to our Little Man!

Gavin has had quite a month of celebrating. The line between birthday and Christmas has become a little blurred and he thinks that any present that comes to the house or any package belongs to him and is a "happy me" gift. The other day we had diapers delivered and Gavin thought for sure that there must be a present inside the diaper box hiding for him.

On Saturday we had a little birthday celebration with some of Gavin's friends. He had quite a special day playing with his friends, enjoying some of his favorite foods, eating cupcakes and he even played pin the mustache on Justin Bieber.

It's crazy how fast the last 2 years have gone by. I can't believe my baby is 2 years old all ready, but we love him more and more everyday.

The kids table.

We played pin the mustache on Justin Bieber & as you can see Gavin was quite excited about the Bieber poster.

And also quite excited about his new football toy from Graunt Kathy & Gruncle Paul.

The boys & their staches. Gavin was not so sure about the mustache and kept rubbing his nose to get it off.
Baylor however embraced the stache.

Audra loves to have her picture taken, at least one of my children will look at the camera these days.

Gavin was a little unsure of everyone staring at him and singing to him.
He got over it quickly after he could blow the candles out.

The Birthday Boy
Then the boys headed outside for some football of course.

Then they moved on to some basketball.

After naps we enjoyed some birthday mattress sliding.
At least Coley is enjoying herself.
And one more gift before bed from Mom & Dad.
A tool bench. He was quite excited to try it all out.
Now he can help dad & Pops with all the projects around the house.
And Sunday morning he had a gift from Grandma Roro & Grandad Holt.
A motorized quad. He is loving his new ride.
Thank you to everyone for making Gavin's birthday so special. For all the gifts he has been recieving and all the wonderful phone calls. He loves them all.

Happy Thanksgiving

It has taken me a while to get to our Thanksgiving, but here it is. My whole family came to visit us here in Phoenix. We had a wonderful time and I'm so thankful for a wonderful house with lots of room for everyone to stay. On Thanksgiving Mandy, Pops & I ran in the Anthem Turkey Trot, well run is not all true, I think I walked at least half of it. Lets just say I am quite out of shape and didn't think I might make it across the finish line, but my lovely sister who convinced me to sign up and had been training very slowly jogged next to me the whole time, and Pops left us both in the dust from the minute the gun went off. We had a lot of fun and I was glad that I had done it. Kevin went and played in the Faith Forward Annual Turkey Bowl, his team lost, but they had fun playing. While the others all came to watch us finish the Turkey Trot.
We then came home to finish preparing our meal. Grammy was busy in the kitchen for several days preparing and the rest of us girls helped her finish the preparations while Kevin cooked his Dr. Pepper turkey. And it was wonderful as usual. We had a full table of friends and family and amazing food. So I have one funny story to add. As we were all loading up our plates, we went around the table and shared what we were thankful for, well the entire time everyone was sharing Gavin was also sharing what he is most thankful for . . . does anyone have a guess? ? ? Well if you guessed Justin Bieber you were correct! Gavin was yelling "BIEBER" for the whole neighborhood to hear.

The day after the men spent the day watching football while the ladies were busy crafting and making wreaths. They all turned out quite beautiful I might add.

And Saturday we spent the day as a family and celebrated the little man's birthday. Thank you to everyone who came to visit we had a wonderful time and loved having you all in our home to celebrate with us. The Lord has truly blessed us.

I have put up only a few pictures but if you click on all the links I've provided you will see the rest of all the wonderful pictures that Mandy & Jake took. Happy Thanksgiving.

Gavin's Early Birthday Celebration

For Thanksgiving my entire family was able to come out and spend the holiday weekend with us. And since everyone was here on Saturday we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory to celebrate Gavin's birthday. He had no idea what he was in for. He had so so much fun. He is at a great age, he got so excited about every gift no matter what it was, and every gift got a big "WOW" upon opening and aggresive ripping to get them open.
So the pictures are in reverse order, so we start with the end of the night. . .
Gavin was so excited about opening presents and eating his favorite foods. He doesn't say birthday yet, so he just says "happy, happy". The whole way home he was so tired and half asleep but kept repeating in this sweet little voice, "happy me, happy me". It was too funny. This picture is just for Mandy, she taught Gavin a very long time ago how to make the home alone face and to this day still remembers it.
He was a little excited.
Look at those muscles!
He was quite excited about all his new toys and was keeping tabs on them all, so he didn't lose them.

So excited about baseball and his new tee.
He's quite aggresive at ripping the paper off and had to make sure every little piece of paper was off the present.
"What could it be?"

The birthday boy sat at the head of the table and enjoyed every minute of having everyone's attention on him.
He loved his sherbert ice cream. I believe he even licked the bowl clean.

Kevin is laughing because I was trying to instruct Gavin as to how to blow out the candle and I accidently blew it out. I felt really bad, but he didn't even know the difference.

Thank you fam for celebrating Gavin's birthday with us. We all had a lot of fun. And Gavin loves all his wonderful gifts.

For Kevin's birthday he got a gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings. Well Gav thought this trip was just for him. He was in heaven the minute we walked in with all the tv's and sports on. It was too funny. He was cheering and clapping with everyone else. His hands were busy clapping in this picture that's why they are such a blur.

Gavin's First Real Haircut

I know that I am a little behind, we have been trying to catch up this week. We had company here for Thanksgiving for about a week and a half and since everyone leaving both my children and I have come down with colds. Fun times. So now we get to play the catch up game on blog time.

On Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Gavin and I had a little date at Sports Clips. Gavin got his first real haircut in a barbershop. I of course planned ahead and if we stood any chance of him sitting still Sports Clips would be the place. Its all decorated with sports memorabila and there are tv playing sports center and sporting games all day. Perfect for Gavin and his obsessive nature with football, baseball and basketball.

He was still quite wiggly and didn't want to put a cape on or even a towel on his neck. So he left covered in hair and I had to help hold his head still most of the time. But . . .

our little boy is no longer so little after a good haircut. I think it aged him a year or two, but oh so handsome. And he left with a baseball sticker and a lollipop, what more could you ask for.

Oh and don't mind the red scab under his nose that is from a fall he took in the yard the day before.
