Gavin's First Real Haircut

I know that I am a little behind, we have been trying to catch up this week. We had company here for Thanksgiving for about a week and a half and since everyone leaving both my children and I have come down with colds. Fun times. So now we get to play the catch up game on blog time.

On Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Gavin and I had a little date at Sports Clips. Gavin got his first real haircut in a barbershop. I of course planned ahead and if we stood any chance of him sitting still Sports Clips would be the place. Its all decorated with sports memorabila and there are tv playing sports center and sporting games all day. Perfect for Gavin and his obsessive nature with football, baseball and basketball.

He was still quite wiggly and didn't want to put a cape on or even a towel on his neck. So he left covered in hair and I had to help hold his head still most of the time. But . . .

our little boy is no longer so little after a good haircut. I think it aged him a year or two, but oh so handsome. And he left with a baseball sticker and a lollipop, what more could you ask for.

Oh and don't mind the red scab under his nose that is from a fall he took in the yard the day before.
