2 Years Old & 6 Months Old

This month little miss Audra is 6 months. It's crazy how fast time goes by, I can't believe she is already six months. At this point she sits up all on her own, can feed herself snacks (she loves to eat & not baby food she already got tired of that, she wants to eat what everyone else is eating), she's been rolling over for a few months but she will get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. Audra also got her first tooth (on the bottom) last week and is working on tooth number 2 (on the bottom as well). At her 6 month appointment she weighed 20 pounds (98th percentile, & Gavin was 19.6 lbs at 6 months) and she was 29 inches long (99th percentile, & Gavin was 29 1/2 inches). Gavin is beginning to lose all his baby fat and his tummy and is becoming a skinny minny. He was 37 inches tall (in the 98th percentile) and weighed 31 pounds (83rd percentile). Gavin loves his CARS, any trains, Toy Story & Woody, basketball, baseball, football and of course Justin Bieber. He's a funny boy with quite the obsessive personality.

The Lord has truly blessed us with 2 beautiful healthy children.

Gingerbread House Making.

On Saturday evening the Arnolds came over for a fun evening of gingerbread house making. I think that it ended up being more fun for the adults than for the kids, but enjoyable either way.

The Arnolds were hard at work.

While Kevin & Gavin got to work as well crafting the best gingerbread house, while Audra watched the craziness.

She also enjoyed some cheerios. And if you can see, she is finally getting a little fuzz on top of that little head.

Gavin most enjoyed eating all of the candy (courtesy of our friends the Schells, they had had a gingerbread house making party the night before and had a huge bag of candy leftover that we quite enjoyed) hence the red drool dripping down his face.

The strategizing got a little out of hand, however they ended up with quite a good gingerbread house.
You can see Gavin's handy work their in the yard of our gingerbread house.

Audra was also getting her hand in on the action.

TAAA-DAA!

"CHEESE!" The boys with their gingerbread houses.
Putting on a few finishing touches.

And our many attempts at a family picture. Who knew it could be so difficult . . .
to get all 4 of us to look at a camera!
Our children have the "slow kids at play" thing down.

And FINALLY one picture where we are all looking at the camera.
Thank you Arnolds for joining us in our gingerbread house making. We had a lot of fun.

Winterfest!

On Wednesday night our church held a winter carnival of sorts called Winterfest. We had a lot of fun wandering around and enjoying the cooler weather.
Gavin enjoyed petting the animals for a short period of time, until he got bored and then just wanted to play tug of war with their fur.
Gavin loved the snow.
Ok so I wanted some cleaver caption for this picture but with the day I'm having nothing is coming to mind. I love Gavin's face though and it looks like he's making it at the lady to his right.

His favorite of course was that you could THROW SNOWBALLS!!!

And throw them at dad.
We then went to check out the fire engine.
And then Baylor arrived and he could throw snowballs at him.

And then Baylor and Gavin found some boys playing football and tried to join their game.
However, I don't think the big boys even noticed them.
We then went to the gym for some games and cookie decorating. Kevin was really excited to decorate a cookie!

Look at their beautiful creations!
And now for the best part . . . to eat the cookie.
The boys don't need much to entertain them. They are boys and love to run.
And then we made some Christmas cards for our troops. Gavin especially loved the stamping.
When that was all done we ended the night at the Arnolds for some dinner and enjoyed some gift giving, which of course includes present opening, with our wonderful friends the Arnolds & Wallis. It was a fun evening enjoying this wonderful holiday season.

Because of a special gift Kevin was recieving from Mandy we opened our presents from Auntie Mandy early.
Audra has the unwrapping figured out already.
Kevin was quite excited about his nordstrom rack gift card. WOOHOO!

Gavin was really excited about all his new CARS!!
Can you see the excitement. He sleeps with these cars, they don't leave his side much.
Audra showing off her new shirt and skirt.
And some CARS pajamas. He was so excited about these as well.

And I recieved a lot of really wonderful clothes as well. Thank you Auntie Mandy so much for all the wonderful gifts. They were a hit!!!
