National Donut Day

I hope that you all did not miss out on National Donut Day!!! On Friday started our birthday celebration day with free donuts from Krispy Kreme.Gavin always loves donuts. However I think someone else might love them more . . .Audra ate her entire donut while Gavin still had half a donut to go. Thank you National Donut Day for falling on the day we were celebrating Little Missy. It was a very fun way to start our day.

Audra Turns 1!

Last night we celebrated Audra's first birthday. Can you believe it, she is already a year old. Boy does time fly by. We celebrated by having a joint first birthday party with Audra's friend Ike, they are just 2 weeks apart. It was very fun to celebrate the two of them together. Unfortunately Ike's mom & sister came down with a stomach bug and did not make it to the party, but we had a fun night anyway. Well most of us anyway.Audra was quite fascinated with Ike crawling around. She is such a crazy walker these days she was following Ike around as he crawled and explored the new place.The birthday girl.The amazing birthday cake the Taylor's brought. How cute it that.And they each had their own cake too!The birthday kiddos!Ike was not too thrilled with the whole thing.And Audra was quite mesmorized by Ike's screaming.The dad's trying to help blow the candles out.Trying the cake & not too sure he likes it.Audra on the other hand, loved the cake. The Water Slide

Our internet has been having some troubles as of late so I have been having some issues uploading our pictures from our graduation/Memorial Day weekend. So those are still coming. But until then . . .

yesterday we had a playdate with some friends from church. And this is what they had in their yard. Gavin loved it. He played nonstop for hours, climbing, and running and sliding. I did forget to take my camera with me so this picture is borrowed from a friend, but Gav is there on the right side at the bottom of the slide. He didn't stop talking about the "slide" and the "water fall". When he woke up from his nap he was very upset and wanted to go back to the slide.

The Diamondbacks Game

Gavin has been asking every day for several weeks to go to a baseball game. So last week Kevin took him & his friend Baylor & his dad to a Diamondbacks game. Gavin had so so much fun. First of all they got to sit in the dugout box, right on the field and right next to the visitors dugout. Gavin got to talk to the players and him and Baylor were each given a ball. He thought it was so great and didn't stop talking about the game and that ball.

I first want to apologize for the lack of posting lately, not only have things been a little crazy with sickies, but I was having troubles with blogger posting what I had written. I think I have no figured out the problem, thanks to a little help from my husband. Today I just have a couple funny videos of Gavin & Audra, from Kappy & Pauly (as Gavin calls them, Aunt Kathy & Uncle Paul). The other night the kids went to play while Kevin & I had Bible study. The kiddos always have lots of fun and eat tons of food & keep Kathy & Paul busy the entire time. And Gavin discovered he could sit and take a bath & watch Nemo at the same time, two of his favorite things at the same time.

Well the Holt household has been a bit out of commision the last week. It think everyone took their turn having the flu. However this weekend Gavin was feeling much better and ready to get outside and play. He has been dying to try out his new Toy Story slip'n'slide that Uncle Jake & Auntie Hannah gave him. So in the midst of our dirt backyard we set up a nice mudhole for Gavin to play in. But were quickly reminded that Gavin does not like to get dirty or wet these days. Even after Kevin showed him, in his sickly state, how to do it, he still was not understanding how this was supposed to be fun. Oh well another time, maybe on some grass.
