Graduation in Riverside

Alright, so it has only taken me a week to get the rest of our pictures up from last weekend, but here they are. On Saturday we spent the day celebrating Nate, the graduate from California Baptist. We arrived nice and early Saturday morning to save seats for the whole fam.

Gavin was tuckered out before graduation had even begun, but he's such a trooper that he made it the whole day with not more than a 30 minute nap. As long as he has everyones attention he is good to go.
Gavin also enjoyed watching Uncle Jake & Auntie Hannah in their mockrock performance.
He thought about taking a nap, but thought better of it.
The fam with the Graduate.

sorry for the dark pictures, I'm still trying to learn how to use the new camera.
Gavin with his cousin Mia. Niether one wanted to sit still long enough to get a picture of them together.
Gorgeous Auntie Mandy & Gavin hitting his afternoon lull.

Graunt Kathy directing the little munchkins in a little tune.
The little entertainers.

This all took place just before Gav took a spill trying to get down off the bench and hit his lip on the bench and gave himself a fat, bloody lip.
The happy couple.

The cousins and the children and one getting away.
In the evening we went to a wonderful dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Like Father like son. This picture cracks me up because they are making the same face.

Gavin again was enjoying all eyes on him at the dinner table and was playing peek-a-boo with everyone.

Look at that dessert for the happy graduate!
Gavin was completely content with his black beans while everyone else enjoyed dessert.
On Sunday we said our goodbyes to everyone and then we met up with a couple of my friends from college. It was a wonderful end to the trip to catch up with old friends. We went to the park and Gavin had a wonderful time running around and playing more peek-a-boo.
We got to see Katie and her son Brady (that is who is in the pic) and Lacey, her husband Anthon and their two daughters Haley and Tessa. I however managed to not get a picture of all of us though, bummer.
Gavin and Brady sliding, well actually we were trying to get a pic of the two of them together, but Gavin for some reason would not sit still and decided to just run down the slide, while Brady was just not happy.

Gavin loved Cooper, the dog. He was just his size and even got to walk him, or probably more like Cooper was walking Gavin.
But it was a great way for Gavin to run all of his energy out before our long drive home.

And that is the end of our weekend in Southern California. It was quite an exhausting whirlwind being 8 months pregnant, but it was very fun to catch up with friends and family, and we are very thankful for the time we had.

Gavin really needs a puppy! Every boy needs a dog and every dog needs a boy :)
