Well the last couple weeks have been a little crazy around here. As some of you know, two of my girlfriends and I started the Junk in the Trunk Trio. We had this vision of a fun community of people like us who love all things rusty and chippy and old and just being creative. So we created a the Vintage Market where people like us could sell their items. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into really. We have had a lot of fun, but it has been a lot of work. And now after having our first sale, well, lets just say it was quite crazy and has blown up so quickly into something we thought was maybe a far off dream. With a very special thanks to Kevin who has been the most amazing supportive husband and basically the ceo of this whole business process and the person who really made it all happen for us.
So here are some pictures from the last couple days. The husbands went to each of our houses and loaded up all our junk to bring to the sale and unloaded an the entire thing in the middle of the night! What amazingly wonderfuly husbands we have! We filled a 26ft uhaul trailer, pretty crazy. I have to say, I had the least amount of items. And my children were quite the amazing troopers, they were at the house where we held the sale 2 nights in a row, till way past their bedtime while we set everything up.
Here's the Junk in the Trunkers!
This is our booth! Finally all set up.
And here are a few pictures of some of the other booths.
We had 25 amazing vendors at this sale. We would have never been able to pull off the sale without them and the help of Coley's whole family, amazing Mandy, and our wonderful husbands. The Vintage Market itself was quite crazy, we had an amazing turnout. Somehow the sale ended up on the front page of the "Home" section of the AZ Republic. Needless to say we had an amazing turnout and over $10 thousand of total sales. Its just crazy to think about it. And I spoke with a guy from ABC channel 15 and he wants us to come on the local morning show Sonoran Living Live! Pretty crazy. Who would have ever thought. You can check out our blog at junkinthetrunktrio.blogspot.com, there are some more pictures there. We are quite excited for the next Vintage Market coming up in November. And that is a little look at what we have been doing!
You can check out some other pictures that a few of our vendors took from the Vintage Market using the links I provided below.
