Insta Friday

Well this week we started out on our month long journey out of Phoenix, yes we are escaping the heat!  We headed west to Los Angeles and up through Santa Clarita to have a breakfast stop with our friends Reid and Lyndsay.  And were then on the road again headed to Auburn, California.  We left at 3am.  I have to say the kiddos did amazingly well, the last hour was a little crazy, but overall they were really good.
When we arrived they were ready to run around and have fun.  Uncle Nate was prepared with fun toys for each of the kiddos.  Gavin has 2 great new nerf guns . . .
And Audra has a GIANT new bear!
On Sunday we enjoyed a lovely spaghetti dinner.
The kids have been having lots of fun, just running around.

Miss Hadley is as sweet as ever, and always smiling at everyone.
Gavin has been busy with his guys and lining them up for shooting practice.  On Tuesday night we headed to Raley Field for a Rivercats baseball game and some fireworks.

Auntie T bought Gavin and Audra a foam bear claw.  They have been quite enjoying them.
And just having Daddy around lots to play with.

We were sitting about 5 rows up from the field and Gavin got called out by the manager of the opposing team and he tossed Gavin a ball.  Gavin was quite excited!
By the end of the night they were all getting a little sleepy.

Except for Gavin, he was too busy cheering and yelling, "WOOHOO!"
But as soon as the fireworks started they all perked up even Hadley.  Gavin says to me during the fireworks show, "Mom, its just like my work!" pointing at the sky.  "It's just like my coloring!"  It was very cute.
On the 4th a bunch of people came over to Nana and Gramps house to enjoy a bbq and fireworks.  Audra has been loving her some Uncle Nate time.
And of course some baseball was to be had.

And of course it was a late night, so the girlies woke up in their clothes from the day before!
Audra has been experimenting with makeup, and busy blowing bubbles and frowning while we attempted Holt family pictures.
After pictures we headed to Old Town Pizza in Auburn, it was quite yummy and the kiddos quite enjoyed the arcade.

And there you have our first week of vacation in a nutshell.  Until next week.
